Program Structure
Amount of PRS experience in first three years. PGY4-6 consist of entirely PRS rotations.
  1. 2 months of PRS in PGY1
  2. 10 months of PRS in PGY2
  3. 12 months of PRS in PGY3
Electives
Elective opportunities to explore PRS sub-specialties and professional interests.
2.5 months in PGY6 year, can be used for global trips
Cosmetic
Cosmetic/aesthetic experience.
Chief resident cosmetic and reconstructive clinics; elective block in PGY6 can be used for cosmetic rotations; intermittent cases starting as PGY3 while at Faulkner (community hospital)
Global Surgery
Opportunities to participate in international electives, mission trips, or research.
Can do global rotations during chief elective time. Possible locations: Tanzania, China, Armenia, Columbia. Some are annual trips taken by attendings, but other trips can also be arranged.
