Program Structure
Amount of PRS experience in first three years. PGY4-6 consist of entirely PRS rotations.
  1. ~6 months per year of PRS in PGY1 and PGY2
  2. 12 months of PRS in PGY3
Electives
Elective opportunities to explore PRS sub-specialties and professional interests.
No specific elective months, but flexibility as senior resident to choose cases and can spend up to a month at other institutions
Cosmetic
Cosmetic/aesthetic experience.
Chief cosmetic clinic; residents work with multiple private practice surgeons at community hospitals in senior years and can choose to focus on cosmetic cases
Global Surgery
Opportunities to participate in international electives, mission trips, or research.
Annual cleft trip to Bangladesh with OMFS, additional Guatemala / Vietnam trip every other year
Gender Affirmation
Gender surgeon at St Barnabus does full spectrum, additional surgeons do top surgery at other sites
